LA FAMILIA SAYRI

Sayri family is composed of six blends of 100% regenerative agriculture tobaccos: Original (K’illu) / Mild (Jank’u) / Native Mix (Ch’uxña) / Blend (Larama) / Strong Blend (Arumi) / Black (Ch’íyara).

They are the result of more than eight years of research and development in fields that are in the process of soil recovery. Our tobaccos are proof that a tobacco can be produced, which provides an experience full of flavors and sensations while respecting the land, the people, and the ancestral knowledge.

The Spirit of Sayri

Sayri’s spirit is based
on three pillars:
care, tradition, and regeneration.

Our Tobaccos

TOBACCO IN STRANDS

Tobacco from 100% regenerative agriculture, from fields with clean soil, and from healthy producers. Natural tobacco, without additives, is cut into fine strands for greater convenience in assembly. The conditioning of the tobacco is done with vapor from chlorine-free water only.

TOBACCO ON ROPE

Grown 100% without agrochemicals on a small farm in northeastern Argentina from Creole tobacco plants. It is intense in flavor and conducive to conscious smoking and different medicinal preparations (fasting, rapé, ambil, etc.).

RAPÉ SNUFF

The tobacco with which we make rapé (snuff) is agro-ecological, without any chemical additives, to preserve the purity of its natural flavor. The plants used are also organic; that is how we respect the aroma and essence of each plant. The ashes provide the appropriate and necessary alkalinity.

Recovering the Sacred Legate

The elderly tell that now is the time for humanity to recover their harmonious relationship with Mother Earth, the Pachamama.

Ancestral Practices

According to the vision of the indigenous communities, each plant has a Spirit and when using it, the person seeks to establish a connection with its energy. This is why the time devoted to smoking has been a ceremony since ancient days.

A pleasure that allows the smoker to connect with the sacred and timeless sides of the life experience.

Conscious Smoking

We recommend taking a moment to assemble the cigarette with positive intentions. Try not to inhale the smoke into your lungs; just keep it in your mouth for a few seconds, so that the active principle of the sacred tobacco plant acts.
The effect to be achieved is: to be here, present, and feel its spirit!

Our Tobaccos

They are natural strands without additives, developed for the smoker who wants to know what he or she is smoking and, for the same reason, we offer them this high quality product. We do not add to Sayri any of the common additives like aromas, preservers and humectants, nor tobacco residues or puffed tobaccos. Our tobaccos have been cut into thin and long strands, which make cigarette rolling a much easier task.

Natural Tips

In order to keep the humidity of your Sayri tobacco, you can use some moistened cotton, or potato, orange, tangerine, lemon or apple peels. Or you may use fresh mint leaves, incayuyo (Lippia integrifolia), peperina (Minthostachys verticillata) or rose petals, according to your flavor preference. Humectants are not smoked; they are only added to the tobacco bag for a period that should not exceed 24 hours.

Our Tobaccos and the Wiphala

– The Flag of the Andean-Amazonian Communities –

Our ORIGINAL tobacco
is called K’illu,
which means yellow
in the Aymara language.

In the Wiphala, this color represents energy and strength, the moral principles of the Andean people, and the doctrine of the pacha-kama and the pacha-mama: which both define the duality and set the laws and the rules, and the collective practice of brotherhood and human solidarity.

Our MILD tobacco
is called Jank’u,
which means white
in the Aymara language.

In the Wiphala, this color represents time and dialectics (jaya-pacha). It is the expression of development and continuous transformation of the qullana marka over the Andes, the development of science and technology, the art, and the intellectual and manual work that generates the reciprocity within the community structure.

Our NATIVE MIX tobacco
is called Ch’uxña,
which means green
in the Aymara language.

In the Wiphala, this color represents the Andean economy and production; it is a symbol of the natural wealth —both on and below the surface of the Earth. It also represents the land and the territory, the agricultural and livestock production, the flora and fauna, and the hydrological and mineralogical fields.

Sajuna,
means violet in the Aymara.
.
.
.

In the Wiphala, this color represents the Andean politics and ideology. It is the expression of the Andes community power, and the State instrument as a higher instance; all of which represents the power structure, the social, economic and cultural organizations, and the administration of the community and the country.

Ch’umpi
means red in Aymara.
.
.

In the Wiphala, this color represents the Earth (aka-pacha); it is the Andean people expression, in the intellectual development and cosmic philosophy, and in the thinking and knowledge of the Inca elders.

Our STRONG BLEND tobacco
is called Arumi,
which means orange
in the Aymara language.

In the Wiphala, this color represents society and culture. It expresses the culture, and the preservation and procreation of the human species, considered as the most precious heritage of the nation. ARUMI is the health and the medicine, the training and the education, and the cultural practice of dynamic youth.

Our BLEND tobacco
is called Larama,
which means blue
in the Aymara language.

In the Wiphala, this color represents the cosmos, the infinity: the stars and the natural effects perceived on the Earth, the astronomy and physics, the socioeconomic, political and cultural organization; it is the law of universal gravitation, and of the dimensions and natural phenomena.

Our BLACK tobacco
is called Ch’iyara,
which means black
in the Aymara language.

This color strongly represents the dark Criollo tobacco, processed using an ancestral technique kept by one of the elderly men.
